We are proud to host the 19th International Workshop on Human-Friendly Robotics (HFR 2026) at the University of Trento on July 16–17, 2026.

HFR 2026 brings together researchers and industry professionals working on collaborative and human-centered robotics, with a focus on safe, adaptive, and effective human-robot interaction.

Workshop Overview

  • Scientific Program: The workshop features peer-reviewed paper presentations, invited keynote talks, and poster sessions covering topics such as physical and cognitive human-robot interaction, shared control, learning by demonstration, benchmarking and evaluation, and ethical aspects of human-robot systems.

  • Interaction & Networking: HFR fosters close interaction between academia and industry, offering a focused and highly interactive environment for discussion and collaboration.

Topics of Interest

The workshop addresses a broad spectrum of themes in human-friendly robotics, including:

  • Physical and cognitive human-robot interaction
  • Collaborative and social robots
  • Shared control and sliding autonomy
  • Human-in-the-loop systems
  • Control methods for safe and adaptive interaction
  • Human monitoring and intention recognition
  • Benchmarking, performance evaluation, and ethics in HRI
  • Application domains such as medical and rehabilitation robotics, manufacturing, and social robotics

Join us in Trento to explore the latest advances in human-centered robotics and contribute to shaping the future of safe and intelligent human-robot collaboration.
